I know I have been pretty quiet lately. You haven’t had the pleasure of reading my mind-blowing posts and now you feel lost. I understand. I am here for you, my child. Grab my hand. But know that if you do, the things you may see and hear in the near future may be more than you can handle.
So, for a LONG time I have considered becoming an adult webmaster. I studied all kinds of sources and had a subscription to the retired KLIXXX Magazine. Something about the adult entertainment industry intrigues me beyond just the obvious.
It’s been an industry that has survived through everything—economic downturns, government legislation, changes in state policy and so forth. But it still survives and even more so, finds creative ways to survive and thrive.
I have taken notice of how technology not only follows the adult entertainment industry, but uses the industry as a testing ground to see whether new technologies can be introduced to mainstream companies for mainstream consumers.
Being the nerd I am, I have taken notice of how technology not only follows the adult entertainment industry, but uses the industry as a testing ground to see whether new technologies can be introduced to mainstream companies for mainstream consumers. Take a look at the “new” VR products being offered to consumers from the Samsung 3D viewer to the new Sony VR. That tech is old hat if you look at past AVN Novelty shows. Looking beyond the package—the obvious T&A—the industry itself is extremely forward thinking, and has always been.
So I have not gone anywhere. I am still moving forward to forging a path as an amazing fashion and alternative style photographer. However, I am simultaneously working on providing imaging, marketing and branding to the adult entertainment industry.
Still a very new concept of HOW I am going to tackle this. I would like to use my photo and video skills to provide content, but would also like to use my marketing, branding and graphic design skills to provide entrepreneurs in the industry with clean, professional visual design services.
I am planning to attend Xbiz and AVN in January to network to other entrepreneurs and get to see some of the inner workings of the adult entertainment industry. I am looking VERY forward to professional workshops on content creation, branding and marketing, and hope to meet people who can use my services.
So, I haven’t gone anywhere. Just diverted a bit of my creative focus to doing something I probably should have done a long time ago. The journey has taken a slight detour, but I still feel like I am on track.
Now you know…
